Last Updated: 05 May 2026

1. Policy Statement

Seas The Day Training is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion across all aspects of our training and online platforms. We aim to provide an inclusive environment where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all learners, prospective learners, and any individuals who interact with our courses, platforms, discussion areas, or live sessions.

3. Objectives

We aim to:

  • Eliminate unlawful discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of our training
  • Ensure course content and interactions are respectful, inclusive, and free from discriminatory behaviour

4. Course Participation Requirements

While we are committed to equality and inclusion, certain minimum requirements are necessary for participation in our courses due to the nature of the superyacht industry:

  • Participants must be aged 18 or over
  • Participants must hold a valid passport, as this is a standard requirement for working onboard vessels
  • Participants must have a sufficient level of spoken and written English to complete the course safely and effectively

These requirements are based on industry standards and are necessary for course delivery, safety, and employability within the sector.
