Policy Statement

Seas The Day Training is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants, facilitators, and staff involved in both our online and in-person training courses. This Safeguarding Policy outlines our commitment and procedures to protect everyone's well-being.

Scope

This policy applies to everyone engaged with Seas The Day Training, including participants, facilitators, administrators, and third-party vendors involved in both online and in-person training courses.

Definitions

Safeguarding: Measures aimed at protecting individuals from harm, abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Training Courses: Refers to any training, tutorial, or educational sessions delivered both online and in-person.

Facilitator: Anyone delivering or assisting in the course content.

Participant: Anyone enrolled in Seas The Day Training courses.

Principles

  1. Zero Tolerance: Seas The Day Training maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of harassment, abuse, or discrimination.

  2. Confidentiality: All reports will be handled confidentially to safeguard the involved parties.

  3. Compliance: This policy complies with applicable laws and regulations.

Procedures

Registration and Access

Verification will be conducted for all participants during enrolment, irrespective of the mode of training.

Online Interaction

Online forums and discussions will be moderated to prohibit bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behaviour.

In-Person Interaction

All in-person events will have designated staff responsible for safeguarding.

Any suspicious behaviour must be reported to these designated staff members immediately.

Reporting

Concerns or incidents must be reported immediately to the designated Safeguarding Officer, whether they occur online or in-person.

A confidential reporting system is available for participants and facilitators.

Investigation

All reports will be investigated promptly and impartially.

External authorities may be contacted, as appropriate.

Disciplinary Actions

Non-compliance with this policy may result in removal from the course and possible legal action.

Review
