From the Sea to Shoreside: Sarah Diggle-Whitlock's Journey with Seas The Day Training

This month, Superyacht Content has featured the inspiring journey of our founder, Sarah Diggle-Whitlock, in their Life After Yachting series. Sarah's story is a testament to her passion for the yachting industry and her dedication to helping others find their way within it.

Starting her career in 2000 as a Dive Instructor in Mallorca, Sarah quickly transitioned into the world of superyachts, where she spent over a decade as a Chief Stewardess on some of the most prestigious vessels in the industry. Her time at sea saw her circumnavigate the globe twice and complete 10 Atlantic crossings, all while honing the skills and knowledge that would later shape her successful career on land.

In 2010, Sarah made the courageous decision to move shoreside, driven by a desire for a more balanced lifestyle and the simple joy of getting a dog. Despite the challenges of leaving behind the unique camaraderie and dynamic environment of yacht life, Sarah remained deeply connected to the industry. She transitioned smoothly into roles such as Yacht Manager, Assistant Charter Broker, and Recruiter, all while nurturing her true passion: education and mentorship.

Since 2013, Sarah has been at the forefront of superyacht training, offering courses both onboard and in maritime schools. Today, through Seas The Day Training, she continues to empower aspiring and current crew members by providing them with the tools and guidance they need to succeed in the superyacht industry. Her flagship offering, the online IAMI GUEST Introduction to Superyachts & Yachting Life, Unit 23 course, is the only one of its kind aimed at green crew across all departments.

Sarah’s story, as featured on Superyacht Content, highlights not only her impressive career but also her unwavering commitment to the industry and those who work within it.
